Scientists have located a gene that predisposes people to Crohn’s disease, André Picard reports in the Globe this morning. Since there seems to be some association between Crohn’s and ankylosing spondylitis — my uncle had Crohn’s, for example — I would be very interested to learn what the impact of this would be on our understanding of my own little disease.
