More eggses

We discovered three eggs from the Great Basin gopher snake this morning; she’d skipped last year because she was eating poorly, but her appetite is back this year. We’ll see if any of them will be fertile.

Meanwhile, the first clutch of corn snake eggs (previous entry) is approaching its due date, but many of the eggs have collapsed or are otherwise not looking good. At this point I’ll be happy with any hatchings. Given the heat wave, I expect them to hatch a few days early.

Panopticon

My good friend Jennifer has a new blog, and it’s off to a terrific start. I have this uneasy feeling that she’ll be better at this than I am.

I know it’s been a while, and I’ll write a bit about how things have been going at some point (short version: it’s been good). Meanwhile, it’s Jennifer’s birthday today (bribe her good); not coincidentally, her new web site at jenno.org is now live. So far it’s mainly got her blog, moved there from mcwetboy.net, but we’ve got plans for other things; now that the summer holidays are upon her, she’ll have time for them.
