Month-old Red-sided Garter Snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis parietalis)

No related pairs

My policy is not to offer fully related pairs for sale. I’m not breeding anything special so line breeding isn’t necessary. It’s better for the long-term health of our breeding programs that we all do our bit to track down breeding stock from different sources. Besides, expecting a snake to boink his sister is kind of icky, don’t you think?

Sexed specimens

If you’ve bought a sexed specimen, please bear in mind that mistakes can sometimes happen. I will have done my best to ascertain the sex of my animals, but nothing is foolproof. I’ve made plenty of mistakes before!

Health

The animals I sell are healthy to the best of my knowledge, but surprises can occur. For example, we take every precaution against snake mites, but I cannot guarantee, particularly if you bought a snake from me at a reptile show, that your purchase will be free of mites. You should always quarantine any new arrivals from snakes you already own until you’re certain that new arrival is healthy.

If a health problem arises within the first month or so, do let me know. I’ll refund or replace any animals if it’s clear that the animal’s health was a result of something that happened before you bought it. Having said that, any mishaps due to your own lack of knowledge are strictly your own responsibility.

Questions

I’ll do my best to help you with any questions you have about your purchase, but bear in mind that I am extremely busy and may not have time to answer your questions in any detail, or at all. Before contacting me with a care-related question, please take a moment to do a little research. Again, your lack of knowledge is not my responsibility; it’s up to you to do the necessary homework.

All sales at my discretion

I reserve the right to refuse to sell an animal to anyone who, in my judgment, is not capable of looking after that animal.

I also reserve the right to refuse to do business with people who are rude, aggressive, overly demanding, or otherwise difficult to deal with.

If you’re under the age of 18 and are living at home, please have a parent or guardian contact me on your behalf — I’d like to know in advance that your folks are okay with having a snake in the house. I reserve the right to refuse to sell an animal to minors who cannot provide me with parental permission.

All sales are final

All sales are final. Don’t buy unless you’re certain.

Disposing of animals

If you decide that you want to get rid of an animal that you have purchased from me, please contact me. I will not buy back the animal from you, but there are things I can do to help. Under no circumstances should any captive-bred reptile be released into the wild.
